How Boat Ballast Works

Ballast adds weight to your boat to push the hull deeper into the water, which creates the bigger, cleaner wakes and surf waves needed for wakeboarding and wakesurfing. A good ballast setup changes how a stock boat performs behind the wake, often more than any other single upgrade. Our ballast collection covers the full system: ballast bags (lead, hard, semi-custom), pumps that fill and drain those bags, plumbing fittings and connectors, and complete plug-and-play kits sized for specific boats.
