Ballast pump impellers are wear parts that move water through your ballast pump. Impellers wear out from running dry (the most common cause of failure), pumping debris, or simple age and use. Replacing a worn impeller is faster and cheaper than replacing the whole pump, and a fresh impeller often restores fill and drain times that have slowed over a season or two.
