Competition and impact vests are designed for active wakeboarding, wakesurfing, waterskiing, and other water sports. They're lower-profile and less buoyant than CGA-approved vests, which means they don't restrict movement during tricks, falls, and aggressive riding. Most competition vests are pullover or zippered designs with neoprene and foam panels that provide protection against impact while staying out of the way during active use. They're not US Coast Guard approved, so check local regulations if you need CGA compliance.
