Skim style wakesurf boards are short, flat-bottomed, and loose-feeling, designed for advanced riders who want to spin, do skim tricks, and work the lip of the wave aggressively. Compared to surf style boards, skim boards are faster, looser, and require more skill to control because they lack the drive and grip of a more traditional shape. The trade-off is that skim boards open up trick possibilities (spins, shuvits, big airs off the wave) that surf style boards can't match.
Our skim style collection includes boards from major wakesurf manufacturers sized for light through heavyweight riders. Brand options span performance levels from intermediate through pro. Call us at (309) 371-0095 if you want help picking the right skim board for your weight and skill level. We've been fitting watersports gear since 2007.
