Product Description
The HO Animal rear binding keeps the direct feel of a traditional rubber slalom boot. Its natural-rubber toe, heel and thin rear overlay combine with a shaped orthotic footbed and a high-strength 6061-grade aluminum plate. The rebuildable design lets worn component parts be replaced over time.
Why Choose the Animal Rear
- Natural-rubber feel: The natural-rubber toe, heel and overlay provide tactile feedback and progressive resistance to movement.
- Position-specific overlay: The rear boot uses HO’s thinner rear overlay, distinct from the thick front-boot overlay.
- Contoured support: The shaped orthotic footbed supports the foot’s natural arches.
- Serviceable construction: Replaceable component parts and reinforced fingerholes support continued use of the boot.
Rubber Construction and Fit
HO reinforces the fingerholes with PVC to reduce tear-outs during entry. The toe, heel and overlay remain natural rubber, mounted on a 6061-grade aluminum plate. The Animal rear uses paired U.S. sizing from 6/7 through 12/13.
