Malibu Wakesetter VLX Ballast Upgrades

This kit is for the 2001 - 2014 Malibu Wakesetter VLX.   We also have kits for the 2017-2021 Malibu 21 VLX and the 2015-2018 Malibu 22 VLX. All of our Malibu Wakesetter VLX ballast upgrade kits generally take 2-3 weeks to ship out.  However, we do sometimes have the items in stock.  Please contact us if you want to check inventory and delivery times.  There are 3 types of kits for the Malibu Wakesetter VLX depending on year. TankBuster Kits – This is where you remove the factory rear hard tank and replace it with one of our bags Piggy Back – This system would piggy back off the current system and take the overflow off the current tank and run it into a new bag Plug and Play – This would utilize your factory installed Plug and Play ballast system from Malibu.

Here are the options based on the year of your boat:

• 2001-2004 - Tankbuster - 1700 lbs
• 2005-2008 - Piggyback - 1640 lbs
• 2009-2011 - Piggyback - 1820 lbs
• 2012 - Piggyback - 1320 lbs
• 2013-2014 With Hi-Flo - 1320 lbs
• 2013-2014 Without Hi-Flo - 1320 lbs

Automated Filling + Draining

Designed to directly integrate into your boat’s existing factory ballast system, the additional ballast bags included in this WakeMAKERS Factory Ballast Upgrade will simultaneously fill and drain with your factory ballast tanks. The switches at your boat’s helm will be used to control both the factory ballast and WakeMAKERS ballast bags in conjunction for a smooth, automated process.
