This WakeMAKERS exclusive PiggyBack Factory Ballast Upgrade integrates bow ballast bags with your MasterCraft’s center factory hard tank to increase the ballast system’s overall capacity and produce an improved wake.

Our aftermarket ballast solutions increase the overall capacity of your boat’s factory ballast system for improved performance while keeping the convenience of controlling all ballast with the switches at your dash. The ballast bags included in your Factory Ballast Upgrade are integrated into your boat’s existing ballast system for automated filling/draining.

The WakeMAKERS Mastercraft PiggyBack Factory Ballast Upgrade integrates aftermarket ballast bags with your boat’s factory center hard tank. The additional ballast is controlled using the switches on your dash, and not require any additional effort to fill and drain. The updated ballast system will run just like your stock system but now with an increased overall capacity for improvements in your wake.

Bow ballast is often forgotten about but equally important as ballast in other zones of the boat for creating a satisfactory wake. A balanced distribution of ballast throughout all zones of the boat creates a cleaner shaped wake that makes for better takeoffs and landings wakeboarding. In wakesurfing, more bow weight typically helps to lengthen out the wake, creating a bigger ‘sweet spot’ or ‘pocket’ where the rider can surf without the rope.

Every WakeMAKERS Factory Ballast Upgrade is designed to be a user-friendly DIY install that can be completed in your garage over the course of an afternoon.
